About: About

Sometimes life transitions, stressors, trauma, or grief can feel overwhelming. No matter how hard you may be trying to work things out on your own, it may feel like you are not gaining ground. Change and healing don't happen in isolation, and we all need help at some point. Having a caring professional walk with you through challenging times can be incredibly helpful.

Counseling is a second career for me and the fulfillment of a long-term goal, and I bring a genuine curiosity about what actually helps people follow through on lasting change. I recognize that there is more to creating change than just "gutting it out" — helping clients identify their limiting beliefs about themselves, and act on new, more hopeful ones, is often what makes real change possible.

I use research-supported approaches to transform painful emotions, physical sensations, and limiting beliefs resulting from painful experiences into more adaptive living. I am a Certified EMDR therapist, IFS-trained, and am Gottman Method Level 2 trained for couples therapy.

I would welcome the opportunity to work with you.
