Meet Jill
Sometimes life transitions, stressors, trauma, or grief can feel overwhelming. No matter how hard you may be trying to work things out on your own, it may feel like you are not gaining ground. Change and healing don't happen in isolation, and we all need help at some point. Having a caring professional walk with you through challenging times can be incredibly helpful.
I have 15+ years of experience working with individuals and groups to establish goals and create change in personal and professional settings. Counseling is a second career for me and the fulfillment of a long-term goal. With my background in health and wellness, I have experience working with clients through a variety of life transitions. Additionally, I recognize that there is more to creating change than just "gutting it out." Helping clients identify their limiting beliefs about themselves and creating and acting on new, more hopeful beliefs often helps them achieve their goals.
I use research-supported approaches to transform painful emotions, physical sensations, and limiting beliefs resulting from painful experiences into more adaptive living. I am a trained EMDR therapist. Additionally, I have completed Gottman Method Level 1 clinical training for couples therapy.
I would welcome the opportunity to work with you.
